I use Southern Savers site to find the deals.
You can find a load of information on her site, but the gist of it all is this:
1- Everything goes on sales OR is at it's best price at least once every 6-8 weeks. When it is, buy enough of it to last 6-8 weeks.
2- When it is at it's best price, use a manufacturer coupon AND a store coupon if possible.
* Publix is the best with Buy One, Get One deals! They also will let you use a manufacturers coupon, a Publix coupon & a competitor coupon all on the same item!
Here was my lists before hitting Rite Aid, CVS & Publix.
I hit Rite Aid 1st and loaded up on Huggies stuff.
Spent $21, Saved $26
Then, to CVS.
Spent $16.52, Saved $21.
I'm stocked up on meds for the winter season for the kiddos now and finally have some Right Guard for Joe- which I have been waiting at least a month to be at it's best price again. Zantac is for my dad- at $2 a pack instead of $10... couldn't pass it up!
Finally Publix.
Spent $62.14, Saved $45.72
I'm not feeling especially "proud" tonight, but I bought a lot of non-sale items we needed like organic milk & Keifer that rarely have coupons.

Sushi Maki 101
In order to make a sushi roll, you don't need to go through 5 years of fish cutting studies in Japan, neither you need anyone telling you that your first time ever sushi looks more like a sea cucumber in a rush hour out of the water.
what you do need is some good will, and of course a good guide to help you.
* Sushi rice is best made with a rice cooker. You are welcome to borrow mine if you don't have one, but it is a great investment! I usually make a single batch, which is level 3 in a rice cooker. (probably 2 c. dry rice) I add 1/2 tsp or so of salt, 1 tsp sugar, toasted sesame seeds and about 1/2 c of rice vinegar.
Step 1:
Feel the nori sheet from both sides and you will find one side to be a bit smooth and the other a little rough. The nori should lay on the rolling mat with the rough side facing upwards.
Step 2:
Get your hands wet, and make about a handful of rice to a ball of rice. It's important to keep your hands wet while working with sushi rice because it is sticky. When you work with the nori though, you should keep them as dry as you can. Keeping a bowl of water and a dry towel in your rolling zone is pretty necessary.
Step 3:
Gently put the rice ball in the middle of the nori sheet, and start spreading it equally on the nori, creating a layer of rice covering almost the entire sheet except the upper margin of about 2cm that should be kept uncovered. Later on, that margins are going to be needed empty of rice in order to close to sushi roll properly.
Step 4:
Now it's time to place a slice of fish (preferably no more than one) on the edge of the nori, along with 1-3 pre-cut slices of vegetables (carrot, cucumber, green onion, asparagus, and so on.. allow yourself to get wild on this matter)..
My favorite is crab, cream cheese, avacado & cucumber.
Step 5:
Using the closer edge of the rolling mat, close on the filling with the nori making a rectangular shaped hill and tighten it from above. Move forward, continue rolling in the rectangular hill steps, keeping it tight with every move until you reach the end of the nori. Put pressure on the roll from all three sides at all time, especially on stops to allow it to roll tightly.
Step 6:
Use a wet, sharp knife to cut the roll in to little sushi units. (6-8 units per roll)
There you have it:
...and I always make a plate for a friend or neighbor! (Julie got this one!)

Romans 1:18-32
Romans 1:18-32 is full of God's wrath. After reading the first 17 verses on God's blessings through faith, it feels like a big slap! He always has a purpose though.
Beth said that we have to embrace the bad news to fully appreciate the good news!
Example:
If I go to the doctor for a physical and he says, "Sarah, you are healthy and don't have any cancer." I would be really happy.
However, when my father goes to Dr. Mainwaring every 6-months to have his CT scans and have his blood checked and he gets the good news of no cancer... it has a totally different meaning. My dad has been there with Stage IV colon cancer, unrelated bladder cancer, liver & lung cancer that spread from his colon.... My dad has heard the bad news and the GOOD NEWS IS SOOOOO GOOD!
My father was healed by the Great Healer and is living here today, enjoying his grandbabies!
Like Beth, our study leader, I was saved early in live at the tender age of 8. Being saved was wonderful then, but what did I know about the world and God's wrath? What did I know about sin? It has only been in adulthood, post-teenage, post-rebellion and living for myself that I can see how incredibly ugly I was! God saved me from myself! At 30-years-old I am saying, "God, please show me who I am without You so I know how good the Good News really is! It's shameful. It's horrible. Then, I found myself in a place knowing that I can't offer Him one single worthy thing from myself- yet he STILL chooses to have a relationship with me. I am so undeserving, but stand righteous before Him because Jesus Christ lives in me. How amazing is He? Wow!
