Inoel

We recently began sponsoring a child from La Represa, Dominican Republic. He is 3-years-old and his name is Inoel. His father drives a taxi and his mother is a housekeeper. He lives in a shack with a tin roof with two siblings. A family of five crammed into two rooms. Their home receives water three times a week.

Look at this face.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9

The Bucket List

Joe and I really enjoyed The Bucket List movie a few nights ago. I think it should be a requirement for people who feel stagnate in their lives. Most people reach a point where they become complacent or feel hopelessness, and this movie inspires the thought that maybe there is a better life out there. Hopefully most will come to this realization before they are terminal, but if you're really honest with yourself, we are all terminal. Life starts to end the moment you are born. It is what you do between birth and death that makes all the difference. I think the choice of these two actors, Jack Nicholson & Morgan Freeman, was the best choice ever. They both have a quality to make you laugh one moment and cry the next.

As for Joe & I, we spent a considerable amount of time after the movie creating our own bucket list and I am so excited about it!!

Thanksgiving

My parents came over and brought a feast of filet mignon and chicken! Julie & Tyler joined us,too! They brought a game that we all enjoyed and their dog, Sophie! I was really sick with a sinus infection and had a heard time keeping my eyes open- but loved being with my family!!!!

more potty training

This potty training thing is underway...

Thanksgiving break was spent trying to get Thomas out of diapers. He goes (sometimes) when we suggest he try, but never on his own. He doesn't seem "ready" yet.

I censored Thomas' cute little bottom in the pics out of respect to his privacy... but here are the pics: (notice Catherine as an on-looker with one shoe on)

Picnic at Old Fort Park:

Playing catch with Daddy...

Happy boy!

Mommy loves her babies!

Loving each other!

This is the new park located behind the new Murfreesboro Medical Clinic off of Medical Center Parkway. The trail connects with the Greenway and there are ducks and geese to feed. It's a lot of fun!

Early morning snuggles...

It doesn't get any better than this!

An Apple, by Thomas

Thomas said, "Look, an apple."

He drew this on his Magnadoodle.
